I just got a 8gb sdhc card and a 4 gb flash drive from this place and I got 30% off with this code MET30P. So if you need something from their site, use the code.
Really, I'm not trying to promote them over anyone else, just the fact that it's cheaper.
Anyways, I'm off to goto white rock and try and get my oil changed, so I'll probably post more then.

That title back therez
I now have had readers in Italy, Spain, England, and Ghana. That is freaking sweet.
And to make this post have any real meaning and not just be filler I have a question. Do people want daily updates? I know I used to be better about posting on a more frequent basis and not this I'm not in the mood for a week and then I spend 6 hours in a cafe blogging my heart out until I have nothing to say for a week again, wash, repeat method I have going on now. Sorry, the punctuation on that sentence is difficult. Anyways, I could do more, here's what I did today (sat on a couch, whoopie!) and have daily updates. Or I could keep it sporadic and random as all hell. Or what I like to call the mindless daily updates on my boring life until I go on a blog rampage and blog about things that I think about and site I goto at 4 in the morning and then go back to the boring daily updates with scattered content that you actually want to read schedule.
Cause I really do care about what all, like 6 maybe more, of you care about. I can fill this site with so much content you'll have trouble keeping up, or I can make it more worth while and spread out to an almost annoyingly sparse update (lack of) schedule. Either way, I will keep being me, so w/e.

For all youz internationals outz dere
So I was watching this video blog called indy mogul, and it was pretty cool. They do cheap DIY movie effects. Like putting puddy in pantyhose soaked in fake blood to make fake intestines. Smart. But during one of the adverts there was a guy talking about blogging, and what he said got me thinking. His main point was that most blogs are someone taking something already created and giving their personal take on it. If you take that description and apply it to music, what do you get? The sampling that is done in hip hop. What hip hop does with audio, bloggers are doing with most all medias. It isn't a direct correlation, but it's pretty close and it kinda gives a glimpse into what media will be in the future. Instead of having large corporations producing all media, smaller independent companies are producing more and more high quality media. Like higher quality music available to hip hop artists through modern computers and cheaper technologies, the same is happening for videos. More and more indie flicks are showing up and the advent of the video blog shows just how easy it is to create video and spread it out. And if it is good, it will spread. The MTV culture takes in and digests more information then ever before. Most anything out there that is capable of becoming the next big thing has the highest chance of reaching that title than ever before. Memes prove this point. If anything is easily reproduced or spread and is worth the attention and effort to keep it moving, it will do it for a long time or until it completely saturates the population.
This is the time to create things. The urge to do something with our time has always been there, but it is much easier now to feed it into the social testing ground. Isn't it wonderful?

From a pigeon to a phoenix to a dove
So I was checking that blog I repped ( I don't know why, but rep is just fun to say.) about a couple days ago. And P.O.S. way featured. He's got a new video up promoting the CD and it's great, funny, and very P.O.S. Anyways, I had to be that guy who tells you about the thing that you might or might not have noticed in the video that you might or might not have seen for the thing that you might or might not care about. In the video he's wearing the "pigeon to a phoenix to a dove" t-shirt from the plastic constellations. That's all I really wanted to say, I got really excited when I saw it.
Time and all you took....
I am looking forward to this upcoming semester, but I can't decide why. I have set so many goals already, it's ridiculous. It might be my last semester before I go study abroad. But that in itself is unsure. I want to stencil shirts. I want to buy and learn the banjo. I want to be social. I want to eat well. I want to take voice lessons. I want to take guitar lessons. I want to write songs. I want to have fun. I want to listen to good music and discover more. I want to do well in school. I want to do well in my job. And a lot more.
I can't decide why I set so many goals that I basically know I won't finish. It's almost like I set my standards high and many, but at the same time low because I go into things with no actual aim of accomplishment. I need to take action to start things to eventually finish them. And it's easy for somethings that require money to start them. And I really want to drop a crapton of cash to have the option to start a project.
Like silk screening things. You can silkscreen almost anything. T-shirts, CD's, posters, and guitars. But it requires a fairly large setup and initial purchase of material. So, I don't want to just jump into buying all the stuff w/o having space or time to silkscreen.
I wanted to build guitar pedals last summer, and I successfully built a fuzz pedal for myself. And so I bought parts for two more pedals, and had the intention of building them at school. But my house mate, Ryan kinda ruined it by hovering and talking down to me about electronics. It sucked. So I have two guitar pedals, unbuilt in my room. A load of money sitting unused.
And so this will probably continue and continue until I change my ways. but w/e, I'm me is me is me.

Folk/Indie/Indie Folk
I was playing my dad's old nylon string guitar yesterday and learning On Your Wings by Iron and Wine and my dad came and sat in the basement with me. He is great at playing folk tunes and so I thought he might like to hear the song and I played it for him. I introduced it as indie folk music, because that's what I've deemed it. If you haven't heard it, go listen to some on last.fm or youtube. It is hard to put them in a genre because well, they are a very independent label band and they are great folk as well. Anyways, point is, it's great music that even my dad liked it for being relaxing and hypnotic music.
Iron and Wine uses a great combination of guitar, slide guitar, and banjo. It works wonders at layering and making rhythmic music.
